Greene County Republican Party announces Second District Court of Appeals Judicial vacancy

Party sets date to select nominees

The Greene County Republican Party will meet on December 9, 2021, to select nominees for appointment by the governor to the office of Second District Court of Appeals Judge. The vacancy will be created by the retirement of the Honorable Michael T. Hall. 

Interested applicants must send in a completed Judicial Candidate Questionnaire and Resume.  The Judicial Candidate Questionnaire can be requested by emailing John Caupp, Greene County Party Executive Chairman at [email protected]. 

The completed questionnaire and resume must be e-mailed to [email protected] or mailed to Greene County Republican Party, PO Box 401, Xenia, Ohio 45385 received no later than 4 p.m. December 6, 2021.  Late applications will not be considered.  All Judicial Questionnaire Applications and Resume’s should be sent in hard copy to  The Office of Governor DeWine, Attn: Matthew Donahue, 77 South High Street, 30^th Floor, Columbus, Ohio 43215 or in electronic format via email to [email protected] with the information cc’d to [email protected] and [email protected].  These must be received by the Governor’s office by end of day Thursday, December 10, 2021.

The members of the Greene County Republican Party Central Committee will be hearing from all candidates at a special meeting on December 9, 2021.  They will then vote to submit up to three nominee names to Governor DeWine for consideration to the vacancy.
