Wes Smith is a long time Greene County resident, local business owner, and proven public servant running for Greene County Commissioner.  For more than 16 years, Wes has served on the Xenia City Council, helping guide responsible growth, improve infrastructure, and protect the values that make Greene County a great place to live, work, and raise a family. His experience in local government has been grounded in common sense, fiscal responsibility, and listening to the people he represents—not political noise.  Outside of public service, Wes spent decades building and operating a successful business right here in Greene County. He understands firsthand what it takes to meet a payroll, balance a budget, and make decisions that impact employees, families, and customers. That real-world experience shapes his approach to government: spend wisely, plan for the long term, and always respect taxpayers. 

As County Commissioner, Wes is focused on smart economic development, maintaining and improving county infrastructure, supporting first responders, and ensuring county government remains transparent and accountable. He believes growth should strengthen communities—not change their character—and that decisions should be made locally, with input from the people who live here.
